Myles Birket Foster RWS (1825-1899)
He trained as an etcher he lived and worked mainly in London and near Godalming in Surrey. He was elected to the OWS in 1860, the RWs in 1862 and showed at the RA from 1859. Highly acclaimed in his own lifetime he painted on the continent including the Rhine, Italy & especially Venice
