Rowland LANGMAID (R.I., R.B.A., A.R.E., R.CAM.A.)
This marine painter and etcher studied under William Lionel Wylie, probably the foremost marine artist. He served in the Royal Navy reaching the rank of Lt Commander. His exhibited works include “ HMS Victory Under Sail” and “ HMS Victory in Portsmouth Harbour”. His etchings are now highly collected. His work is extremely fine and very similar in style to Wyllie.
